"Prophecy of Scripture Is Not For Private
Interpretation" I
am speaking as a Biblical Born-Again Evangelical
Christian. ...........................................................................................
The below
scripture shows us that the Holy Spirit teaches us all things, and that He does
not hand over the job of interpreting His word to anyone for private
interpretation. He is who teaches His word to all who receive it. From clergy to
the youngest believers, we are called to study Scripture. Acts 17 shows us
that it is good for God's people to search the scriptures daily to see if what
we are being taught anywhere is actually the truth.
The Catholic church
teaches that people cannot learn directly from God. It says that the Catholic
church leaders interpret scripture, while God's word shows otherwise.
2 Peter 1:20 - 21 Knowing this first, that no
prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the
prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of
God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will
send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things
to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Matthew
28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of
the world. Amen.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself
approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born
again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,
by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for
ever. .Debra
