"Luke 10 Verse 16 - Who Jesus Sends
Out" I
am speaking as a Biblical Born-Again Evangelical
Christian. ................................................................................................
Luke
10 verse 16 is NOT speaking of the Catholic Church. Jesus is
speaking to those who follow Him, biblical born again believers,
made alive in Christ, by the Holy Spirit.
Luke 10:16 "He that
heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and
he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me."
Jesus is
saying that those who He sends out (all true biblical born again
believers) with the truth of His word, the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
the message of being saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ
alone, are sent by Him.
Jesus is saying that people who hear,
who He sends out, hear Him. This is because those who He sends out,
speak His message, His word. He is also saying that people
who despise who He sends, despise Him and therefor despise He who sent
Him.
There is no name of a church involved in this scripture.
This scripture is speaking of true biblical born again believers in
Christ, going out and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the true
gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ
alone.
The message that comes from the Catholic church is not
Jesus' message. The Catholic church's message includes the Catholic
church itself, the false claim of Mary being a "co-redeemer" with
Jesus, and man's works. The Catholic church's message is NOT one of
salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. --So, no,
anyone who comes with the Catholic church's message is coming with a
different gospel. And we see in Galatians 1:8 what scripture says
about such people: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach
any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you,
let him be
accursed."Debra
